This accessibility statement pertains to the website of the University of Eastern Finland available at https://www.uef.fi, and it has been drawn up on 28 June 2021.
The accessibility of the website has been assessed by a third party. In addition, we at the University of Eastern Finland have also reviewed the website.
The uef.fi website was published in 2009, and the first major redesign of the website took place in 2015. The latest major website redesign was completed on 20 April 2020. The accessibility requirements have guided the layout design of, and content production for, our new website. In addition to our new website, we still have some websites available on our old server, and these websites aren’t fully accessible. They had be to be archived as such because of the funders requests.
All of the University of Eastern Finland’s websites, mobile applications and content available on these must be accessible. Accessibility in a digital environment means that as many people as possible are able to use the digital services provided despite user, situation or technology specific differences. The accessibility requirements are based on the Act on the Provision of Digital Services and on the EU’s Web Accessibility Directive.
